MORE GREAT NEWS FOR FUN4KIDS !!

WALKING FOR THE CHILDREN 2010

Mike Ilsley a returning Fun4Kids volunteer has carried out a fantastic spronsored walk from KRABI to KHAO LAK for the second year running.

This year Mike made an extended walk by covering an extra 15-20 miles more than last year over 10 days. The scenery is still as breathtaking and the supprt from the local people was fantastic. Local people gave Mike cheap accomodaion, free food and drinks and made donations to the project. Often Mike camped out in a hammock on the beach in the most isolated places. The Thai people were absolutely amazed at Mikes determination and often supported him with fresh water. Mike combined his passion for walking with raising a lot money for Fun4Kids.

GREAT NEWS FOR FUN4KIDS !!

WALKING FOR THE CHILDREN

Mike Ilsley a returning Fun4Kids volunteer has carried out a fantastic spronsored walk from KRABI to KHAO LAK.

An incredible distance of 150 miles in only nine days. Mike kept off of the main roads where possible and navigated mountainous tracks and pure white beaches. Spending his nights under the stars in a hammock. Mike met many local people on his walk who kindly supported him with food, water, encouragement and donations. Mike says that this walk was one of the most exhilerating and rewarding of his long hiking career.
